The Bridgestone Alenza 001 is a high performance summer tire manufactured for sport utility vehicles and light trucks.
The model promotes exceptional summer weather traction. The tire compound features silica and polymer that enhance the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The tire’s symmetric tread design further upgrades summer traction by firmly gripping the road surface. The wide circumferential grooves actively prevent hydroplaning as they eliminate water from beneath the footprint. The tire’s compound and tread design, however, will not maintain their excellent traction in winter weather and the tire is not recommended for use in colder temperatures.
The tread pattern’s multi-round block structure boosts its controllability. It raises the contact pressure on the tire’s center, improving the steering responsiveness and linear driving stability. As a result, the tire’s structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire, while the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s instructions. The special chamfered tread blocks enhance the braking capability, offering a safer driving experience. The chamfering rounds of the tread block edges resist tread deformation and allows the tire to maintain its road contact. This effectively upgrades the braking capability and shortens the braking distance.
The Alenza 001 was manufactured with the special NanoPro-Tech in its silica and polymer compound. This prevents heat buildup across the tread area, lowering the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire’s motion. The lower the rolling resistance is, the lower the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions will be, making the tire more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. This also manages to slow the tread wear rate down, as the driving pressure is eased off the tire. The special M-shaped siping detail extends the tread life as well. They prevent irregular wear formations by evenly distributing the driving pressure across the tread area. The longer lasting tread life and usability and the decreased fuel consumption make the tire more cost efficient.
